Outside Agencies

The Pastoral Care Team can provide a vital link between parents and agencies that can help their children if they are struggling in school.Parents might be very concerned about their children and be keen to do something about the issue but are unsure what to do. This is where the Pastoral care team can provide a supportive role to parents and the students by having access to differnt agencies designed to help students.some examples of these agencies can be seen on this blog page.

  1. Hi Kevin, I completely agree that the Pastoral Care Team can act as a conduit or point people in the direction of other support agencies. Blog looks good by the way!

  2. Creating a link with external agencies is very important. A school cannot be expected to be an expert on everything, and being open to outside support is in my opinion a key factor of an effective pastoral care team. Knowing when to ask for help is so important! It is also a good idea to be aware of courses offered by these outside agencies, as many may benefit a pastoral care team
