Parents Role
Parents play a major role in the success of the Pastoral Care Team. It is important to support them and help them to support their children. The parents in your school may have had a very differnt school experience to that of their child and informing them and getting their feedback is vital to the success of the team.

As a primary school teacher i would strongly agree with the above statement. As educators we are responsible for ensuring that the school is perceived as an open and supportive enviroment not only to students but also their carers. Creating an enviroment in which parental involvement is both encouraged and fostered can only benefit all involved as no one knows their children better than parents.
